Griffin Cottage - Whitby

Great location, close to shops and cafes. Clean bedding and towels provided. Good hot water and heating. Underfloor heating a nice feature. Helpful staff when inquired about information before arrival.

The location of the cottage was absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of a vibrant neighborhood filled with charming cafes and shops. It was also a peaceful spot, offering a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle. the cottage was very spacious, with three bathrooms for each of the three rooms, providing convenience for larger groups.

The cottage is in dire need of a renovation. It's clear that it hasn't been updated for quite some time, with worn-out furniture and peeling paint in several areas.

Griffin Cottage was great value for money, with a lovely and comfortable room. The location was perfect, with easy access to shops and restaurants, and the staff treated us wonderfully.

We loved staying in this cozy cottage with its spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and double-ended bath in the loft. the large kitchen with a great range cooker was perfect for us as vegetarians and vegans to prepare our meals. the underfloor heating kept the cottage warm, and the living room with comfortable sofas was a great place to relax. the central location with parking was a bonus, and it was convenient to have a pay and display car park nearby. the cottage provided all the amenities we needed, including plenty of crockery and glasses. we had a fantastic stay and would definitely book again.

There were a few issues that detracted from our overall experience. the parking space was advertised as suitable for a medium-sized car, but it could only accommodate a small car.

Stair carpet and paint could be updated, floors need thorough clean in corners. No sweeping brush but overall enjoyable stay. Good range of kitchen equipment and furnishings, good heating. Beautiful garden nearby compensates for lack of outdoor space at cottage. Brilliant location, comfy beds.

I had a lovely break at Griffin Cottage. The location was perfect, with pubs, cafes, and bars nearby. The cottage itself was quirky and had some great features. The rooms were spacious and had quality furniture. It was warm, cosy, and had ample lighting.

griffin cottage in whitby was even better than our last visit - spacious, well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds, and a cozy living room with underfloor heating. plenty of room for six people. parking was tight but we managed our car for our 4-day stay. already planning to come back!
